Both Genomill and Illumina are actively pursuing innovations to simplify and streamline DNA sequencing workflows by reducing or eliminating traditional library preparation steps. Genomill’s Geno1® technologies, including Bridge Capture™ and Nicking Loop™, utilize circular DNA libraries to facilitate efficient and accurate sequencing. Similarly, Illumina’s Constellation technology introduces on-flow-cell library preparation, aiming to minimize hands-on time and simplify the sequencing process. This alignment in objectives underscores the potential for synergistic advancements in next-generation sequencing.
